The Blessed One
Blessed is the one
who goes into the ditch
forsaking language
dissolving mind
warm body half-
naked in a dry wash
the very embodiment
of a taboo
I am the one
who in truth’s pursuit
runs and hides
I am the animal in the woods
my bare chest sleeping
in its bed of light
I go to the desert
I go to the woods
to strike offensive poses
