Heather Lewis is a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design where she first became interested in mixed media and collage.  Focusing on the self during her thesis, she discovered the subject matter was readily available and that her own issues and viewpoints were often reflected in others.  Since, she works on universal themes such as memory, family, and grief, viewers can easily interpret themselves in most pieces.
